Device Compatibility Matrix

Overview

Compass Pro runs entirely in the cloud. No servers, no local deployment — just open your browser and log in. Device choice simply determines how you capture and upload documents.

For scanner-intensive tasks, a Windows/macOS/Linux desktop with Dynamic Web TWAIN is recommended. For mobility, Chromebooks, Android tablets, and iPads provide full browser-based access to Compass Pro’s modules.

Planning Your Device Use

Because Compass Pro is a SaaS solution, practices don’t deploy or maintain any local servers. Instead, they simply log in via their preferred device. Here’s how different devices fit:

  • Desktops (Windows/macOS/Linux): Full Compass Pro functionality, including Dynamic Web TWAIN scanning.
  • Chromebooks & Android tablets: Best for front desk, scheduling, EMR review, billing, and patient portal. Scanning is limited to cameras and cloud uploads.
  • iPads/iPhones: Excellent for telehealth, mobility, and patient-facing workflows. Document capture is handled via built-in cameras.
